Diploma D1 Feedback Seminar with Alex Tsui DipWSET (Online)

Enhance your Essay-Writing Skills with our Online D1 Theory Exam Seminar

After the success of the Feedback Seminar hold in September, Alex Tsui DipWSET is going to help again the students in their journey to the WSET Level 4 Diploma certification.

Are you taking your D1 Diploma exam and unsure about what makes a good essay?
Join us for this seminar to develop your essay-writing skills, specifically tailored for the D1 Wine Production exam. The D1 exam is a critical foundation for the subsequent units.

This seminar course is open to up to twenty (20) students, who will be asked to submit responses to two D1-style questions of varying lengths. These questions are set by Alex Tsui DipWSET (Vintners’ Cup 2023 winner). Each submitted set of answers will be reviewed by Alex, who will provide personalized feedback highlighting strengths and areas for improvement. An approximate grade will also be provided. Essays are due by February 3, 2025 (Monday) at 23:59 JST.

On February 10, 2025 (Monday), Alex will host a webinar to discuss practical essay-writing skills applicable to the D1 exam and beyond. Examples from the submitted essays will be used anonymously, and key points from the “Guide to Theory Examinations” document will be covered. This seminar is especially suitable for non-native English speakers or those with limited experience in academic-style essay writing. Students who have not submitted an essay are also welcome to join and gain valuable insights for their studies.

Don’t miss this opportunity to refine your essay-writing skills and gain a competitive edge for your first Diploma exam—or if you are retaking it!

IMPORTANT:
① Enrolled students will receive the essay questions around two weeks before the deadline. The deadline to submit the essays is February 3, 2025 (Monday) 23:59. Detailed personalized feedback will be provided after the seminar around February 13 (Thursday), 2024. Please note that late submissions are not guaranteed to receive proper feedback.
