CAPLAN Wine Academy “WSET Educator of the Year 2018” Finalist

CAPLAN Corporation, operating “CAPLAN Wine Academy”, was nominated by WSET (Wine & Spirit Education Trust), the world’s largest wine education institution, as one of the WSET Educator of the Year 2018 award’s seven finalists. Every year, outstanding corporations and individuals are chosen based on their significant contribution to the development of activities of the institution.

Established in 1995 and partnered with WSET in 2000, “CAPLAN Wine Academy” is Japan’s number 1 in both the number of conducted WSET certification examinations as well as the number of qualification acquirers. Since its foundation “CAPLAN Wine Academy” has enriched the lives of individuals by cultivating global human resources capable of transmitting the charms of wine and Japanese sake both domestically and overseas.

The academy has been reestablished in the Aoyama offices where a communication lounge is available for students to learn from each other. It was selected as a WSET Educator of the Year 2018 finalist after its introduction of the first Japanese wine “WSET Sake” course in Japan. The winners will be selected in January 2019 and will be honored at the award ceremony held in London.

The “CAPLAN Wine Academy” will strive to continue its enrichment of the lives of individuals through fostering business professionals or those involved in tourism to share their knowledge and education on wine and Japanese sake globally.
