How did the Ancient Romans drink wine?

※ This online seminar will be in English

The history of wine consumption dates back to thousands of years ago. People in the Caucasus, in prehistorical Europe and in the antiquity knew how to make wine, enjoyed drinking it and created religious cults around it.

The civilization that definitively perfected ancient winemaking techniques and contributed to spread this beverage all over Europe was that of the Ancient Romans.
The Romans improved Greek and Etruscan techniques and bring wine appreciation to a new level, creating wines whose names still echo in our modern years.

Why were the Romans so important for the history of wine? What and how did they drink? How are modern wines related to the ancient Roman wines?

These are the questions that we are going to answer during this seminar.
